CARCOSIA MAKES WEIGHT FOR IBO ASIA 126 LBS TITLE IN AUSTRALIA

Filipino undefeated featherweight prospect Carjun Carcosia (W8 KO7 L0 D1) made the exact weight of 126 pounds as he tries to wrestle the IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight belt against undefeated Australian Jai Alexander (W11 KO6 L0 D0). The fight will be held at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Australia.
In as much as Carcosia has the better knockout ratio, experience and turf favor the Aussie warrior. It is a clash between two undefeated upcoming boxers and someone’s “0” has to go. The pressure in every fight is always against the guest fighter and in favor of the hometown kid. Thus, for Carcosia, the fight should never reach the hands of the judges. “I am fighting in the enemy’s turf. I badly need a knockout win. Not that I don’t trust the judges. But all forces bend towards the host fighter. I will do everything to take home the belt and hang it on our wall at the Sanman Gym. An impressive win will make way for bigger fights. Thus, I can’t lose this”, Carcosia stated.
