Filipino lightweight prospect Romero “Ruthless” Duno improved his record to (W22 KO17 L2 D0) after his first round demolition of Angelito Merin in the main event of “Redemption” at the Lagao Gymnasium, General Santos City. In the supporting bout, Jayson Mama also made easy work on his Reymark Taday disposing him in the third round. Also in another featured bout, former world title challenger Aston Palicte stopped Jonathan Francisco in the second stanza in their bantamweight bout. Below are the complete results:

It was a crowd-filled Lagao Gym as local boxing fans swarmed the venue. According to Sanman CEO Jim Claude Manangquil, the support of the people of Gensan and the neighboring towns have been consistent in all Sanman events. “The fans’ support is what keeps us going at Sanman. It is music to our ears hearing the crowd gasp and cheer as they witness the live entertainment coming from our local boxers. We promise to keep on staging events like this not just to help our boxers climb up the rankings but to give the boxing fans what they deserve,” Manangquil said.
