By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Mon, 27 Jan 2020
DAVAO CITY -- Alphoe "Wolverine" Dagayloan of Dipolog City will fight Carlo Caesar "Too Sharp" Peñalosa of Gingoog City on Feb. 1 at The Flash Grade Ballroom of the Elorde Sports Complex in Paranaque City.
Both are southpaws and that will be more interesting.
The 28-year old Dagayloan (14W-3L-5D, 5KO) scored a unanimous decision victory against Lyster Jun Pronco of Malaybalay in his last fight Oct. 6 in Quibors Boxing Gym in Bacoor, Cavite.
Dagayloan earlier retained his World Boxing Association Asia flyweight title by a majority decision over Ryota Yamauchi of Japan in Korakuen Hall in Japan.
Peñalosa (14W-2L-0D, 7KO), on the other hand, lost in his last fight against Maximino Flores of Mexico by a technical decision in the 7th round in their battle for the vacant International Boxing Organizational World flyweight title last Aug. 25 in Tv5 Studio in Quezon City.
The 26-year old Peñalosa, however, earlier won by a knockout in the 3rd round against Watana Phenbaan of Thailand last Feb. 16 in Quezon City.
The boxing promoter is Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde Jr. of the Elorde International Productions.
