Landry Shamet added 18 markers, taking all his eight shot attempts from deep and making five, including two clutch treys late in the game to step in for the injured Paul George, who has been sidelined for the last six games due to a left hamstring strain. Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell added 16 and 12, respectively, off the bench for the Clippers, who improved to 31 wins and 13 losses to take solo second spot on the Western Conference team standings. Luka Doncic had a near triple-double of 36 markers, 10 boards, 9 dimes, and 2 blocks for Dallas. In big man Kristaps Porzingis’ first game back after missing 10 games due to knee soreness, another big man Dwight Powell suffered a season-ending ruptured right Achilles tendon with a little over 3 minutes left in the opening frame. Porzingis finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds, to go with 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block, but shot poorly from the field, hitting only 4 of his 17 shot attempts, including 1-for-8 from the rainbow territory.
