NBA Daily: Thunder Down Rockets 112 - 107 By Reylan Loberternos PhilBoxing.com Wed, 22 Jan 2020 Boracay Island, Philippines – The Oklahoma City Thunder rallied from 15 points down in the fourth quarter to beat the Houston Rockets 112-107 on Monday night (Tuesday morning, Philippine time) at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Former Rockets star Chris Paul scored 27 of his 28 points in the first half. Dennis Schroder picked up where Paul left off, making 17 of his 23 bench points in the second half. The Rockets led 100-85 at the 7:18 mark of the final frame, before Danilo Gallinari sparked a 13-0 run. He scored 9 points, on 2 treys and 3 freethrows, during that stretch to make it 100-98 with 4:27 left in the ballgame. He later hit another three-pointer seconds later to tie the game at 101 apiece. The Italian forward finished with 25 points and had a team-high 13 boards. He also had 1 steal and shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the charity stripe. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander stuffed the stats sheet with 13 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, and 1 block, while turning the ball over only once in 39 minutes of court-time for the Thunder, who improved to 25 wins and 19 losses for 7th place in the Western Conference team standings. In a losing effort, former OKC franchise player Russell Westbrook joined LeBron James as the only other player in league history to post a triple-double against every team in the NBA. He finished with 32 markers, 11 boards, and 12 dimes. James Harden added 29 points, but shot an atrocious 1-for-17 from long range for the Rockets, who dropped to a 26-16 win-loss card for 6th place in the Western Conference team standings. The Rockets will try to snap their 4-game losing skid, as they host the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night (Thursday morning, Philippine time).
