Western Australian based Cruiserweight prospect Denaudo Murray has signed a long term managerial agreement with Tony Tolj's Dragon Fire Boxing.
Murray, who makes his debut on March 6 2020's first instalment of the world-famous 'Thunderdome' events presented by Dragon Fire Boxing, hails from Jamaican descent but has spent the majority of his life in Western Australia. 'The Black Mamba' opened up about his inception into boxing.
He said, "I originally played soccer and I was very good. I had trials for professional clubs abroad, but due to the finances and the injuries I had, I decided not to pursue it any further. I have always been able to take to whatever I do quite naturally and that is what happened with boxing.
"I went to the Onyx Club to train and I found it really hard at first. I watched Jackson England spar and I knew I wanted to get into boxing properly after watching that. Jackson inspired me to get into boxing."
Murray joins an elite stable of fighters that include world champion Andrew Moloney, brother Jason Moloney, Billel Dib, Bruno Tarimo amongst others world-rated names. The 'Black Mamba' elaborated on his feelings regarding signing with Australian boxing tycoon Tony Tolj.
Murray said, "To sign with such a massive promotion and management company is a dream come true. I want to thank Tony Tolj for giving me this opportunity to showcase what I can do in front of my friends and family in Western Australia.
"Dragon Fire Boxing has made so many champions over the years and I want to follow in their footsteps. I want to become an Australian Champion. That is my goal for now and I am working very hard with Coach Jay Gray and the Onyx Team to make sure that this is a realistic goal in the next couple of years."
