Ligas beats Francisco to win PBF super flyweight crown

DAVAO CITY ? Bievenido ?Spiner Ben? Ligas of Caloocan City defeated Bataan?s JC Francisco by unanimous decision to win the vacant Philippine Boxin Federation super flyweight title last June 15 at the Elorde Southbox in Las Pinas City.
Judges Elmer Lopez and Danilo Lopez both scored it 99-90 while Nowell Haduca had it 97-92 all favor of Ligas.
The 21-year old Ligas improved his record to 10 wins with 7 knockouts against 1 loss and 1 draw.
Meanwhile, Floryvic Montero of Angeles City TKO?d in Round 1 Joan Ambalong of Zamboanga to win the vacant PBF female light flyweight title.
