Bornea (L) and Francisco (R) with Promoter JC Mananquil.

Fighters successfully made weight for Brawl in the Mall 12, Tuesday, April 30, at Robinsons Place Gensan, the exciting boxing show organized by Sanman Boxing Promotions.

In the main event, sensational Filipino knockout artist "The Hurricane" Jade Bornea (13-0, 9 KO's) scaled-in at the limit of the bnatamweight division, 118 pounds, while tough Zamboangue?o Jonathan Francisco (10-10-1, 4 KO's) came-in at 116 kgs for their non-title 10-rounder that fans wonder if will go the distance.

In the co-feature, Sanman super bantamweight "Magic" Mike Plania (19-1, 10 KO's) scaled-in at 123 lbs for his battle against experienced southpaw Nicardo "The Destroyer" Calamba of Butuan. Calamba tipped the scales at 121 pounds, and the fighters are ready to rumble.

Vince Paras (L) and Reymark Taday (R).

Also, heavy-handed former world-title challenger Vince Paras (13-2, 11 KO's) of Gensan weighed-in at 112 pounds, against 110 lbs recorded by 24-year-old "Machine Gun" Reymark Taday (9-8-1, 4 KO's) of Binan, Laguna. Their collision is a non-title 10-stanza combat. The clash is an important one for the talented 20-year-old Paras, a young fighter willing climb back to the world rankings.

Lorenzo (L) and Petras (R).

In the international bout of the card, 25-year-old lightweight Guillaume Lorenzo (2-3, 0 KO's) who hails from the city of Perpignan in the Pyr?n?es Orientales in southern France (near the border with Spain) made 134 lbs. for his clash of civilizations against tough 'n fearless Pinoy warrior Ronel Petras (3-3, 1 KO) who came-in at 131 pounds.

In addition, Sanman's promising featherweight Presco Carcosia (4-0, 4 KO's) and the more experienced Celso "Rocky" Sardido (8-23-5, 3 KO's of Malita, Davao del Sur, both made weight for their six-chapter duel.

Moreover, 22-year-old Garen "Hellboy" Diagan (5-1, 2 KO's) of Gensan and his foe Ryan Makiputin (13-16-2, 4 KO's) of Valencia City, Bukidnon, both scaled-in at exactly 105 pounds for their eight-rounder in the minimumweight division.

Plus, Cebuano former GAB champion James Bacon (21-3, 14 KO's) tipped the scale at 146 pounds while Jiovany Rota (9-15, 6 KO's) of Butuan came-in one pound lighter at 145 lbs ahead of their six-stanza battle.

In a battle between warriors from the Philippines' Land of Promise, confusing southpaw Rogelio Jun Doliguez (23-4-2, 17 KO's) of Sarangani Province engages in battle Alvin Bais (15-15-1, 4 KO's of Cotabato del Sur. Doliguez made 133 lbs., while Bais registered 136 pounds for their hot six-rounder rumble that promises fireworks.

Whats more, super bantamweight Criztian Pitt Laurente made his pro boxing debut in a rough duel against late-sub Renjie Diagan (0-4, 0 KO's). Laurente scaled-in at the limit of the division, 122 pounds, while Diagan made 121.

But even more, unbeaten, promising bantamweight Johnriel Castino (4-0, 2 KO's) from the Paradise Island of Bohol and the more experienced Paulo Perono (3-16-1, KO's) of Cotabato del Sur made identical weight of 119 pounds ahead their six stanza symphony of leather.

However, there was a boxer without fighting partner, light flyweight Tonton Saludar. His opponent did not make it. So promoter JC Manangquil is in an almost mission impossible in trying to find Tonton a late-sub. Manangquil has just a few hours to do it.

Brawl at the Mall 12 is organized and staged by award-winning promoter JC Manangquil of Sanman Boxing in association with Dexter Tan and Robinsons Place Gensan.

Fights are sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB ), supervised by GAB Davao OIC Datu Fahd Yasser A. Sinsuat and GAB Davao official John Kenneth Improso.
