Once again in an effort to help hype up the boxing championship fight between to Filipino warriors, a ?Meet & Greet? event has been set up by two very supportive Filipino-American boxing enthusiasts, Jhay Otamias and Ed de la Vega.

The duo, on their own, put up the event to give the Filipino community an opportunity to rub elbows with two of the country?s best super flyweight boxers. Community members, members of the media, and any boxing fan can attend the event for free and have a chance to talk to the boxers, pose for photos and secure autographs.

Signed posters and limited edition t-shirts for the big boxing event, designed by famed Filipino artist Jun Aquino will be available for a minimum cost proceeds of which are designated for charity, notably the Dentistry For Every Village Foundation, Inc, an IRS designated 501(3)(c) charitable entity. This charity group does quarterly humanitarian dental services for the poor and underserved in Philippine villages where dental services is far and in between or even non-existent.

Otamias and De La Vega reached out to the Tom Loeffler?s 360 Promotions, particularly Bernie Bahrmasel and Ricardo Jimenez for support to make the event an spectacular experience. The promotional company is expected to provide the much-needed support and even bring the Tecate Girls to cheer up the attendees of the event.

The duo also reached out to Abbas Ahmadi the CEO of South Coast Mitsubishi, a philanthropist known to support Filipino boxers, particularly Manny Pacquiao. South Coast Mitsubishi is a sponsor of Aston Palicte.

Many friends of the duo volunteered to help make the event a huge success. They will help in the logistics, setting up the venue, and also spreading the word about the event via word of mouth and the social media.

The event will be held at the Los Angeles Filipino Cultural Center located at 1740 Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90026. The date is Saturday, August 25, 2018. It starts at 10:00 am.

The Nietes vs Palicte fight will be for the WBO Super Flyweight Championship. It is part of a huge promotions by Tom Loeffler?s 360 Promotions called ?Superfly 3? and supported by the Roy Jones Jr Promotions, Tecate, Chivas Regal, The Forum and HBO.

The SuperFly 3 will be held at the Fabulous Forum at Inglewood on September 8, 2018 and will be seen live on HBO After Dark.

The Nietes Palicte fight is only the third time in boxing history that two Filipinos will be fighting for a World Title in the last 90 years.
