Espinas, 25, will challenge fellow southpaw OPBF Champion Edward Heno (12-0-5, 5 KO's) this coming Saturday August 11 in San Pedro, Laguna Province. Excellent match-up and May the Best Man Win. Espinas and Heno are both World-ranked boxers. GAB Flyweight (112 lbs) Champion is Genisis Libranza (15-1, 9 KO's) of the MP Stable in Davao. Libranza, 24, will fight Gensan's Jetly Purisima on August 21 at G-Mall of Davao. GAB Super Flyweight (115 lbs) Champion is Zamboangue?o living in Manila Eranio Semillano Jr. (16-8-3, 5 KO's). The southpaw Semillano, 26, belongs to the Elorde Boxing Gym in Para?aque, Metro Manila. GAB Bantamweight (118 lbs) Champion is another Zamboangue?o living in Manila "The Lover Boy" Glenn Suminguit (21-3, 11 KO's) of the Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde Stable. The GAB Super Bantamweight (122 lbs) title is vacant, though the highest ranked contenders are Virgel Vittor of Cebu, Brian Capangpangan of Zamboanga and Niel John Tabanao of Cebu. The GAB Featherweight (126 lbs) Belt is also vacant, with the highest rated boxers being Jessie Cris Rosales of Gensan, Lorence Rosas of Palawan and Jerald Deniega of Zamboanga. GAB Super Featherweight (130 lbs) Titlist is Bacolod-born Allan "El Matador" Vallespin (12-3, 9 KO's). The 24 year-old Vallespin has just lost a very close razor-thin majority decision three weeks ago in Japan. Sometimes losing is part of becoming a better boxer, so Allan is not disappointment at all, and vows to press full-steam forward with his fighting career. GAB Lightweight (135) Champion is the Negros Occidental "Cobra" Roland Aldea (12-5-1, 6 KO's). The experienced 24 year-old southpaw has fought in Japan, East Timor, Thailand and Russia. How about that? "The Cobra" is promoted by the WBC Asian Honorary Promoter of the Year Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde Jr. GAB Super Lightweight (140 lbs) Title is Jheritz Chavez (8-3-2, 6 KO's). Chavez was born in Cebu and now is lives and trains in San Pedro, Laguna. In his last combat, Chavez lost a very close 12-rounder majority decision in Tokyo, Japan. Chavez fought the reigning Japanese OPBF Champion Rikki Naito; one of the three Japanese judges seeing the fight a draw. The others had Naito up by one round. Good effort by Chavez, the GAB 140-pounder champion. GAB Welterweigght (147 lbs) Champion is the southpaw "Hitman" Jayar Inson (17-1, 11 KO's) of Davao City. I attended Inson's latest fight, which was in the undercard of the Pacquiao win last month in Malaysia. In his clash, the 27 year-old Jayar Inson outpointed in an 8-round battle veteran Australian Terry Tzouramanis. Inson has demonstrated that is a well-focused, experienced, skilled fighter with decent punching-power in his hands. The Hitman has already fought in South Africa, China Malaysia and Japan; and is ready for more. Below is the complete GAB ratings for June, 2018: Photo: Jayar Inson (2nd from left) poses with Australia's Terry Tzouramanis (3rd from left) after their fight on July 15 at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Lucas Matthysse.
