GARCIA-EASTER UNDERCARD RESULTS: FABIAN MAIDANA STOPS KLIMOV TO STAY UNDEFEATED

Eight bouts on the Mikey Garcia vs Robert Easter Jr IBF/WBA lightweight unification bout have been completed Saturday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Undefeated super lightweight prospect Fabian Maidana of Argentina led all winners when stopped Andrey Klimov of Russia in the 7th round (top photo).

8th bout, 4 rounds bantamweight: Jose Balderas (3-0-0, 0KOs) of Santa Maria, CA drops Jose Alfredo Flores Chanez (6-5-0, 3KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico in the 4th round en route to a unanimous decision win.

7th bout, 10 rounds super lightweight: Fabian Andres Maidana (16-0-0, 12KOs) of Buenos Aires, Argentina, landed a picture perfect left hook to the jaw of Andrey Klimov (20-5, 10KO), of Klimovsk, Russia dropping him hard and stopping him at 2:32 of the seventh round.


Karlos Balderas vs Giovanni Caro.

6 bout, 6 rounds super featherweight: Karlos Balderas (6-0-0, 5KOs) of Santa Maria, CA stops veteran Giovanni Caro (27-24-4, 21KOs) of Mexico City at 2:09 of the the 4th round.


Lina Licona vs Judit Hachbold.

5th bout, 4 rounds junior flyweight: Lina Licona (2-0, 1 KO) of Long Beach, California wins by UD over Judit Hachbold (5-6-0, 1KO) of Hungary. All three judges scored the bout 40-36 in favor of Licona.


Rey Perez vs Robert Marroquin.

4th bout, 8 rounds lightweight: In a very evenly and exciting match up, Rey Perez (23-10, 7KOs) of Laguna, Philippines, stopped Robert Marroquin (27-5-1, 20KOs) of Dallas, Texas at 1:03 of the eighth and final round.


Luis Coria vs Guadalupe Arroyo.

3rd bout, 6 round featherweight: Luis Coria (9-1-0, 4KOs) of Moreno Valley, CA wins by UD over Guadalupe Arroyo (3-13-0, 0KOs) of Huntington Beach, CA. All three judges gave all the rounds to Coria, 60-54.


Brandon Glantos vs Daniel Najera.

2nd bout, 6 rounds cruiserweight: Brandon Glanton (7-0, 6KOs) of Riverside, CA had an easy time knocking out Daniel Najera (7-3-1, 3KOs) of Monterrey, Mexico at 1:35 of the third round.


Wesley Joel Dian vs Evincii Dixon.

1st bout: Wesley Joel Diana (6-0-0, 5KOs) of Las Vegas, Nevada wins by UD over Evincii Dixon (7-22-2, 2KOs) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Scores 40-36, 40-36, and 39-37 all in favor of Diana.
