DUNO STOPS SUAREZ IN ROUND 1 (PHOTOS); COMPLETE UNDERCARD RESULTS

Lightweight prospect Romero Duno of General Santos City made short work of his opponent Yardley Suarez (Yardley Armenta Cruz) on the undercard of the Jorge Linares vs Mercito Gesta WBA world lightweight championship at The Forum in Inglewood, California Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila). Duno (16-1, 14KOs) cornered Suarez (22-10-0, 10KOs) in a neutral corner and rained the hapless Mexican-American with powerful punches until Suarez dropped to the canvas. Time: 1:07 of the first round.

Francisco Esparza (7-0-1, 3KOs) of Las Vegas knocked out previously unbeated Tenochtitlan Nava (7-1-0, 1KO) of Los Angeles in the sixth round of their eight round scheduled featherweight bout.
Ferdinand Kerobyan (8-0-0, 4KOs) of Armenia won by UD over Lucius Johnson (4-2-1, 3KOs) of Compton, CA in their 6-round featherweight contest.
Francisco Javier Martinez (5-0-0, 3KOs) of Dallas, Texas won by UD over Danny Flores (15-12-1, 8KOs) of Mexico in their 6-round featherweight bout.
Daquan Arnett (17-1-0, 9KOs) of Winterpark, Florida won by UD over Osbaldo Camacho Gonzales (6-2-0, 4KOs) of Tulsa, Oklahoma in their 6-round scheduled super welterweight bout.
