JEFF HORN TRIVIA
By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Fri, 26 May 2017

Manny Pacquiao's next foe Jeff Horn has captured the Australian, WBO Oriental, WBO and IBF Inter-Continental, WBA Pan African and the PABA Inter-Continental titles in the welterweight division.
Horn decided to take up boxing and joined the local boxing club after he helped a high school friend fight bullies. He entered the Stretton Boxing Club in 2006, where he met his trainer Glenn Rushton.
Horn competed at the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Baku and fought in the 2012 Summer Olympics in the light welterweight division.
In London, at the round of 32, he defeated Gilbert Choombe of Zambia, 19-5. At the round of 16, Horn outpointed Abderrazak Houya of Tunisia, 17-11. But in the quarterfinals Horn lost to Denys Berinchyk of Ukraine, 21-13.
Horn sports a pro record of 16-0-1 with 11 KO's. Horn made his professional debut in Altona North, Victoria, Australia on March 1, 2013 winning a 2nd-round technical knockout over Jody Allen.
The only draw was caused by a clashing of heads with fellow Australian Rivan Cesaire in 2013. The accidental butt caused a deep cut on Cesaire's left eyebrow causing the doctor to stop the fight resulting in a technical draw.
Seven months later they had a rematch with Horn winning this time by a 9th round TKO garnering the WBO Oriental welterweight title.
In his fifth pro fight, Horn went up against Australian champ Samuel Colomban. Horn made short work of his opponent, knocking him out in the very first round.
It was one of his three first round KO wins. The other two were on fellow Aussie Torin Rophia and Thai Nuengsiam Kiatsongsang.
