SALUDARS TO SEE ACTION IN CDO TONIGHT
By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Wed, 01 Mar 2017

Contenders Vic and Froilan Saludar will see action at the Brgy. Bulua Covered Court in Cagayan de Oro City March 1. Vicious Vic Saludar faces Powell Balaba in a rematch of a 2013 fight that saw Saludar retire on his stool going into the 5th round due to a hand fracture.
The 26 year old Saludar (13W-2L,9KOs) has since captured the WBO Asia-Pacific minimumweight title but lost in his world title shot to Japanese Kosei Tanaka by sixth round knockout in 2015. This will be Vics third fight since the Tanaka loss.
Balaba (8-21-1,5KOs) could not capitalize on that upset win four years ago and lost in bid to win the WBC Asia title a couple of years back. This will be a non-title contest.
Froilan The Sniper Saludar (23-2-1,14KOs) will try to bounce back from his decision loss to Takuma Inoue of Japan last September when he squares off against Roque Lauro (13-20-5,3KOs) in another non-title contest. The 27 year old Froilan is a former WBO Intercontinental flyweight titlist.
Also penned to see action are prospect light flyweight prospect Vince Paras (9-0,8KOs) against Michael Camillion, Reymund Yanong vs William George and Garen diagan vs Christian Amparo.
This card is promoted by Kenneth Rontal. A very special guest for this show is IBF world super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas.
