RELAXED PACQUIAO BREEZES THROUGH TEN ROUNDS

PhilBoxing.com

CEBU CITY--In his first ten-round sparring for this camp, superstar Manny Pacquiao yesterday looked ripped and ready to take Marco Antonio Barrera into the deeper waters when they clash once again on October 6 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

This as Pacquiao took on three sparmates yesterday at the Rex 'Wakee' Salud gym in his first ten-round sparring, and looked eager to go for another ten at the completion of the session supervised by trainers Freddie Roach and Buboy Fernandez.

"This is already the hard training phaze. We are very focused now," said trainer Buboy Fernandez, who assisted Roach in the three-hour plus afternoon training session.

Pacquiao did not run in the morning at the Asiatown IT Park, a stone's throw away from the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel where Team Pacquiao is billeted, due to a morning downpour, but reportedly run on the treadmill.

Pacquiao sparred four rounds against Aaron Melgarejo, three rounds against Arniel Tinampay and another three rounds with Mexican Raymundo Beltran, bringing Pacquiao's total to 64 rounds for this training camp.

Mexican David Rodela did not spar against Pacquiao yesterday, opting to hit the bags and the mitts.

Manny Pacquiao mimic a guitar on hand while singing a song from his own album which was played during the tailend part of his training yesterday at the RWS gym in Cebu.

No fans were allowed inside the gym yesterday, except for some select mediamen who were given special permits to witness the training.

Pacquiao looked relaxed all throughout, and even danced to the tune of Nelly Furtado's "Say It Right" and "Beautiful Girl" by Sean Kingston while skipping ropes.

Pacquiao also found time to joke around with his team at the conclusion of the training session, doing his version of the "macho dance" and singing some of the new songs included in his latest single.
