"THE HAMMER" DELA TORRE MAKES U.S. RING RETURN NOVEMBER 11
PhilBoxing.com Wed, 12 Oct 2016

Undefeated Filipino Super Featherweight prospect Harmonito "The Hammer" Dela Torre of Cagayan de Oro, Philippines is scheduled to make his ring return November 11, 2016 in the U.S.A. Fighting out of the Philippines' SANMAN Promotions in association with international promotional partner Greg Cohen Promotions, Dela Torre will be facing Frank Trader of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. The Dela Torre-Trader bout will serve as co-main event with the return of former world champion Kendall Holt at the Winna Vegas Casino in Sloan, Iowa. Holt's opponent is yet to be announced.
Dela Torre (W 18(KO 12) L 0 D 0) will be fighting his second straight fight in foreign soil after signing with American promoter Greg Cohen. He made his U.S. debut last May 27, 2016 against journeyman Guillermo Sanchez but failed to impress in his MD win against the taller Sanchez.
"I'm excited to get back in the ring. My last fight was not impressive but I will make sure I will do much better come November 11. I have trained hard for 6 months here in Miami and I will show the results come fight night." Dela Torre professed through his Philippine Promoter JC Manangquil.
Manangquil said that "This will be his toughest fight to date but I am confident Harmonito will do good. He has been training with his Cuban trainer Moro Fernandez in Miami, Florida for the past 6 months and I believe our fighter will stay true to his words."
The young Filipino promoter Manangquil also added "I am grateful for the trust Greg Cohen and Adam Wilcock has put on Dela Torre and we are looking forward to bigger fights if Dela Torre is victorious".
