AL BERNSTEIN: KNOCKOUT NIGHT AT THE D IS A MODEL FOR FUTURE

Hall of Fame Boxing Broadcaster Al Bernstein called the Knockout Night at The D series ?the right model for boxing as it moves forward into the future.? The next edition of the series comes on September 30 at the Dowtown Las Vegas Events Center. The card, headlined by a super bantamweight match featuring Hanzel Martinez and Erik Ruiz, will also be seen live by a national television audience on the CBS Sports Network
Bernstein, who will announce the show with Jim Ross and Sean Wheelock, said, ?this series represents what boxing needs to attract grass roots fans to the sport. These cards are exciting and well matched fights with hungry fighters trying to move ahead in the sport. It is affordable boxing in an exciting setting that also has a national audience on television. All those components coming together combine to make this series a model of what boxing needs.?
