PH VS MEXICO PRESS LAUNCHING SET TUESDAY
PhilBoxing.com Sun, 14 Aug 2016

Longest-reigning Filipino world champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes? debut fight at the 112 lbs. division against former world champion Edgar Sosa of Mexico will be launched next week.
Following the highly successful Pinoy Pride ?Fists of the Future? in San Mateo, CA in July of this year, ALA Promotions International together with its TV partner ABS-CBN and TFC (The Filipino Channel) will feature another blockbuster card as the reigning WBO Jr. Flyweight champion Nietes makes his way up to the flyweight division, the third one he is eyeing to conquer, against then 112-lb. king Edgar Sosa of Mexico.
Featured as the co-main event is the undefeated young prospect and currently ranked #9 by the WBO, Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo alongside the most-awaited rematch of world title contender, ?King? Arthur Villanueva against Juan ?El Penita? Jimenez for the Filipino?s WBO Asia Pacific title. Villanueva and Jimenez first fought for the WBO belt last May in Bacolod City, Philippines, wherein the former won after connecting with the Mexican by an accidental headbutt. Villanueva was announced winner by knockout as Jimenez wasn?t able to get up by the referee?s 10-second count.
The event?s launching is set at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on Tuesday, August 16th at 2pm.
