CEBU CITY ? The weighin for Omega Pro-Sports' International's Who's Next 2 boxing event got underway today at the Robinson's Mall in Fuente Osmena with all 18 fighters for tomorrow's 9-bout event at Robinson-s Galleria making weight.

In the main event for the WBO Asia-Pacific Youth super bantamweight championship for 10 rounds, local boy and defending champion Jhack Tepora came in at exactly 122 lbs while his challenger Bryan Capangpangan of Iligan City stepped the scales at 120.5 lbs.

In the co-main event the WBF Asia-Pacific bantamweight championship, also for 10 rounds, defending champion Kenny Demecillo of Omega Gym weighed in at 118 lbs while his opponent Rambo Lagos of Bukidnon weighed in at 117.75 lbs.

In a 10-round junior flyweight bout, undefeated Christian Araneta weighed in at 108 lbs while his opponent Charlie Cabilla came in at 111 lbs.


Mark Anthony Barriga and Melvin Mangangquil.

Olympian Mark Anthony Barriga, making his pro debut as a junior flyweight, weighed in at 108.5 lbs while his opponent Melvin Mangangquil came in at 109 lbs.

The WBO title weighin was being supervised by Tony Comia while the rest was being supervised by GAB official Rolando Mendoza.
