SCHAEFER, ARUM MEET THE MEDIA!

Top Rank boss Bob Arum and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer met today during lunch with the media in relation to the upcoming October 6 return showdown between Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao and Mexican icon Marco Antonio Barrera.
Golden Boy and Top Rank will co-promote this much awaited event, in cooperation with the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
A press conference to formally announce the fight was scheduled for today, but had to be postponed to a later date after Pacquiao decided to move his flight from the Philippines to the US to July 30.
Pacquiao was in Cebu yesterday to visit his friend Rex 'Wakee' Salud, who is building a multi-million boxing facility in Labangon, Cebu.
Pacquiao has indicated he wanted to train at the gym for his future fights, although it looks like the Wild Card Gym will be his training venue for the Barrera rematch.
