T?boli Thunder weigh-in at Jam's Restobar: Japanese boxer to fight in undercard By Lito delos Reyes PhilBoxing.com Sun, 06 Mar 2016 GENERAL Santos City ? The official weigh-in for the T?boli Thunder boxing show is set on March 7 at 10 a.m. at the Jam's Restobar here. The Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Davao led by officer-in-charge Arlene ?.will handle the weigh-in in coordination with the Sanman Promotions headed by Chief Executive Officer Jim Claude ?JC? Manangquil. Pitted in the main event is the 10-round championship fight for the vacant Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) super flyweight title between Sanman?s Raymond Tabugon of General Santos City and Renante Suacasa of Koronadal City. The 24-year old Tabugon (17 wins, 4 loses, 1 draw, 7 KOs) is a former WBC Asian Boxing Council light flyweight and IBO Inter-continental light flyweight champion. Suacasa, 28 (7W-15L-0D-1KO) last won by a split decision against Raymond Dayham last Sept. 27 in Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur. Featured in the main supporting bout are four other exciting fighters from Sanman Stable against dangerous opponents from different stables. Super bantamweight Markquil ?Gunz? Salvana (9W-1L-0D-3KO) of Gensan will face Dondon Navarez (12W-22L-7D-3KO) of Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur in an 8-rounder, while undefeated bantamweight Michael Angelo ?Magic Mike? Plania (8W-0L-0D-4KO) of Gensan takes on veteran Rogen Flores (14W-28L-6D-7KO) of Dipolog City also in an 8-rounder. Promising lightweight Adam Diu ?Big Daddy? Abdulhamid (8W-2L-0D-3KO) of Gensan will have his toughest opponent against former Philippine champion Eusebio ?Raging Bull? Baluarte (19W-14L-0D-12KO) of Valencia, Bukidnon also for 8 rounds. Current World Boxing Federation (WBF) Asia Pacific featherweight champion Rimar Metuda (9W-0L-0D-4KO) of Camiguin will trade punches with Joel Hecotibo (3W-11L-1D-1KO) for six rounds. The curtain raiser will feature Japanese bantamweight Shota Mizukami against Filipino boxer Jan-Jan Maunsad. Both of them are making their pro debut for four rounds. The 18-year old Mizukami of the Naoyuki Kasimi Stable from Kazanawa, Japan arrived Sunday together with two other boxers. ?They will also be training here at Sanman gym for a month in preparation for their fight next month in Japan,? said Manangquil. The T?boli Thunder boxing show is co-presented by T?boli Mayor Dibu Tuan in celebration of the T?boli fiesta. It is again free to the public. ?
