CONDES' PROMOTER ARRIVING WITH A CHECK
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Fri, 13 Jul 2007

The promoter of newly crowned IBF minimum weight champion Florante Condes, American Bobby Bostick of Bobby Bostick Promotions has informed Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today that they are “on the way to the Philippines to see our new champ as well as bring his check .”
Condes’ co-manager Dante Ortiz had earlier informed us he had signed a promotional agreement last May with Bostick and his partner Trivino Promotions for the amount of $9,500 to be paid to Condes after the title fight against Muhammad Rachman in Jakarta.
However, they didnt show up in Jakarta and Condes' Filipino manager Aljoe Jaro complained that the commitment was not kept even as Jaro discussed the possibility of a rematch with Indonesia's Muhammad Rachman or a fight on the October 6 undercard of the Manny Pacquiao-Marco Antonio Barrera rematch.
Bostick claimed that “no one has any rights to make any decision on or for Condes except our team and Dante Ortiz, period.” He said Condes would be scheduled for a fight in late October on a pay-per-view telecast in either Texas or California even as he said they were going to build Condes into “an American star and a worldwide star.” Bostick revealed that they had “a lot of great things in the works for the champion.” He added, “we are all extremely proud of Florante and we look forward to honoring him and bringing him to his new part-time home in America.”
Bostick said his promotional group was also “looking to unify the crown” even as he expressed the belief that Condes could reign as champion for the next 7-10 years as well as move up in weight and “dominate all divisions.”
