Darchinyan Confused By Anthony 'Duljoman' Andales PhilBoxing.com Wed, 11 Jul 2007 Little Rock, Arkansas -- According Adrian Warren of FOXsports Australia deposed world flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan is unlikely to be ranked higher than No.5 by the International Boxing Federation if he decides to pursue a rematch with his conqueror, Nonito Donaire. The Australian insisted after his surprising (to Paclanders not surprising) fifth-round stoppage loss in Connecticut yesterday that he wanted a rematch. However, he repeatedly said before the fight that he wanted to move up to super flyweight for his next bout if he couldn't get a unification title fight. Now that Darchinyan was humbled last weekend, he's confused if he'll pursue of moving up to super flyweight knowing that he's just one punch away from another humiliating knock out. Also, according to Herald Sun (australian biggest selling newspaper) a day prior to the fight, that Vic Darchinyan has offered challenger Nonito Donaire an iconic Australian symbol to defend himself against the punishment he will inflict to Nonito. The Australian flyweight's camp bought him a 14kg wrought-iron helmet of the type worn by Ned Kelly (Australia's most famous bushranger/outlaw),and suggested to Donaire it would prove better in absorbing punishment than a mouthguard. But the helmet turned out to be useless for Nonito, instead Vic should have wear the Helmet to avoid his nose from breaking when slammed his arrogant wide eyed face to the canvass when he tried to recover from the sledgehammer left hook of our own, the newest Filipino pride, the pwerteng Bisayaa Nonito "The Flash" Donaire.
