THE OSCAR DE LA HOYA FOUNDATION 19th ANNUAL TURKEY GIVEAWAY

LOS ANGELES (November 14, 2015) - In celebration of the anticipated holiday season, the Oscar De La Hoya Foundation hosted its 19th Annual Turkey Giveaway today, Saturday, November 14 at the Oscar De La Hoya ?nimo Charter High School to help East Los Angeles families celebrate Thanksgiving this year by distributing hundreds of turkeys, treats and thanksgiving fixings.
Golden Boy Promotions fighters, Joseph "Jo Jo" Diaz Jr., Juli?n "El Camar?n" Ramirez, Christian "Chimpa" Gonzales, Abraham "Chamaco" Lopez, Jason "El Animal" Quigley, Joet Gonzales, Roy "Pit Bull" Tapia, and Los Angeles favorite Nick Arce, were all on hand alongside Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, to help distribute food to the families in attendance.
The Oscar De La Hoya Foundation was founded in 1995 with the mission of improving the quality of life within De La Hoya's home community of East Los Angeles. The foundation hosts several annual events and serves thousands of people through the the Cecilia Gonzales De La Hoya Cancer Center, the Oscar De La Hoya Labor and Delivery Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in addition to the high school, which holds several after school programs dedicated to guiding young people towards a positive path.
The event was made possible by the sponsorship of Guerrero and Mission Foods, Tampico, Coca-Cola, 4 Earth Farms, Bonert's Pies and Carmelita Chorizo.
