IBO CHAMP RAY TABUGON TO FIGHT JUAN HERNANDEZ IN MEXICO

General Santos City, Philippines- International Boxing Organization Intercontinental Super Flyweight Champion Ray Tabugon of JC Mananngquil's SANMAN Promotions Philippines is penned to fight Mexican Juan "Churritos" Hernandez in Mexico on November 14, 2015.

According to SANMAN Promotions CEO Manangquil they are currently finalizing the necessary papers of Team Tabugon for their trip to the opponent Hernandez's territory, Mexico.

"Emails have been sent and received to And from Promociones del Pueblo and we have finalized contracts already. What we are working on now are the travel details and the neccessary visas of Tabugon and his team." Said Manangquil.

The young Filipino IBO champion will be fighting the tough Mexican Hernandez in a 10 round non-title bout at Gymnasio Miguel Barragan, Mexico City on a fight card bannered by the main event pair of Adrian Estrella vs Oren Padilla.

"Ray Tabugon is positive going into this fight as Ray and his team are always in the gym training. Ray is also fresh from his 1st round blow-out of Jong Sabellina during our September show this year and they feel upbeat about this opportunity to gauge himself again against a high quality foreign opponent. Tabugon is excited and is looking for another win to up his record." the young Manangquil stated.

The 24 year old Raymond Tabugon sports a professional record of W 17 L 3 D 1 and has captured the IBO Intercontinental Light Flyweight title knocking down in the 12th and beating Luzuko Siyo by 12 round UD in East London, South Africa December of last year. He likewise bagged the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental Flyweight title punishing then undefeated Jake Bornea knocking down Bornea in the 2nd enroute to a 12 round UD win . He is also currently in a 6 fight winning streak.

Juan Hernandez on the other hand boasts of a W 28 L3 D 0 and held the NABF Minimum weight title beating Moises Fuentes via SD. He also beat Filipino Denver Cuello via DQ 3 wherein both fighters exchanged KD's. Hernandez challenged for the WBC World Minimumweight title but fell short via UD 12 against Kazuto Ioka. Notable names he beat are Ramon Garcia Hirales, Saul Juarez and Ivan Meneses. Hernandez, like Tabugon is also in a 6 fight win streak.
