TILLMAN BY KO: American Clarence Tillman has vowed to take the decision out of the judges hands when he meets Herman Ene-Purcell on Oct31

PhilBoxing.com

MAN MOUNTAIN CLARENCE TILLMAN wants to take the decision out of the judges hands this Saturday when he takes on Herman Ene-Purcell over four rounds.

"That's the plan," Tillman said.

"I want to end this fight on my terms that way the judges don't need to make a decision.

"I've left it in the judges hands too many times in the past and often decision's have gone against me.

"I'm planning to win by knock out.

"When it's all said and done it will come down to just me and him and the best man will win.

"Common sense is I will use my height and reach to advantage.

"It's a short fight so I need to be on my game plan immediately.

"He's a young guy coming through and I want to stay afloat so it's an interesting match up.

"It'll be entertaining, people pay their hard earned money to come watch so I want to put on a good show.

Ene-Purcell's record now sits at six wins and four losses from ten bouts. Following his win in China over Isaraphap Sor Varunee on September 11 the hard hitting heavyweight was straight back into the gym in readiness for October 31.

"I know this is my biggest challenge," Ene Purcell said.

"Clarence Tillman is a very good heavyweight and has experience all over the world.

"He's fought in Australia. New Zealand, America, United Arab Emirites and Japan.

"He's nearly fought in more countries than I've had fights in total.

"I understand he's coming to knock me out and I'm going to be trying to knock him out.

"I've had a great preparation and just like him I don't plan on leaving it in the judges hands," Ene-Purcell said.

If Ene-Purcell can beat Clarence Tillman he will join elite company. World class Lucas Browne holds two wins over Tillman while Sonny Bill Williams was successful when the pair met in New Zealand.

"Over four rounds Tillman will be extremely dangerous," Smith said.

"He's proven himself in the longer fights but over 4 rounds you can expect him to come with a rush and place a lot of pressure on Herman.

"We've got to be ready for that.

"It will be an exciting four rounds and anything could happen.

"There will be plenty of leather being thrown when these two big men go head to head on October 31.

"This is Herman's biggest test.

"He has no amateur background and only ten pro fights so he's very much a learner.

"Compared to Clarence he's fought title fights all over the World.

"We feel now is the time for Herman to step up and Clarence Tillman presents a big challenge.

"This one will be exciting," Smith said.
