Two Shows, One night, One ticket price: Cards locked in for TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 11 PhilBoxing.com Thu, 15 Oct 2015  IT WILL BE A BOXING EXTRAVAGANZA on the Darling Downs come October 31. Between 3pm and 6pm will be the inaugural Brayd Smith Cup City vs Country amateur challenge. Then from 7pm it will be the pro card TGW & Smithy Bring the Big Fights 11. "This is two separate shows on the one night for just one price," Promoter Brendon Smith said. "The Brayd Smith Cup is a stand alone amateur card and it will be followed by our pro card. "The same ticket gets you into both shows. "If you buy a ticket for the pro show it also admits you to the amateur show and vice versa. "It's a real extravaganza of boxing. "The Brayd Smith Cup is very special. "Nineteen bouts have been matched and it's City vs Country. "Which ever team registers the most wins on the card takes home the inaugural Brayd Smith Cup. "This is a real showcase of Queensland's best amateur talent. "The support from the governing body and clubs across the State has been incredible," Smith said. THE PRO CARD features 9 match ups. "Will Young has the chance to become a two division Australian Champion. "That's never be done before by a Toowoomba fighter. "Brent Rice, Kris George and Herman Ene-Purcell all face testing international bouts. "The Sam Williams vs Kyle Teer re-match is a great Darling Downs derby and its all Toowoomba showdown with the girls Julie Livet and Vicky Neal. "And the match up between Toowoomba's Jamie Hilt and Kempsey's Richard Davis is a state of origin style showdown. "It's a very competitive card and there are some great fights. "We then have the added addition of Adrian Alloy Young and Will Kuchler doing an exhibition spar with all funds raised going to a Millmerran family that is doing it tough. "Adrian and Will are very excited and I know the crowd will appreciate the show they put on. "We also hope it raises as much money as possible. "We also have the added spectacle of corporate boxing with Jamie McMIllan and Danny Solvalu going head to head. "Toowoomba has always supported our shows wonderfully and I'm sure it'll be the case again on October 31," Smith said.  |
