TRAINER OF 'CHOCOLATITO' GONZALEZ CONFIRMS THE WBC FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION IS AT HIS BEST
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Fri, 09 Oct 2015

The trainer of WBC flyweight champion Roman ?Chocolatito? Gonzalez, Arnulfo Obando confirms that after his last sparring session in Costa Rica, the champ is the best...bar none! The WBC reported that Rom?n weighed 116 pounds, just four pounds over the flyweight division limit, and is in tip top condition, leading up to his clash with former two division world champion, Filipino-American Brian Viloria scheduled at New York?s Madison Square Garden on October 18, Manila Time.
While the trainer said ?It's a tremendous achievement? to be just four pounds over the 112 pound limit with more than a week left for the fight with Viloria, it?s been clear from the photos of Gonzalez training that he is always working out in a sweat suit which conveys the impression that he has weight concerns.
Trainer Obando told the WBC website that "Roman is in excellent condition. He is more relaxed than in other fights because our preparation has been the absolute best."
Obando revealed that "Chocolatito" trained for two hours on Wednesday and then he went through six rounds of sparring with Henry Maldonado and Carlos "Chocorroncito" Buitrago after which he trained four rounds with the gym equipment, working on physical condition with the ever watchful guidance of Wilmer Hernandez.
Obando said "We have a lot of confidence in winning the fight, because the preparation has been just great. Honestly, it has been the best preparation in all of Roman?s career.?
With an undefeated record of 43 wins with 37 knockouts, the recently named Pound for pound No.1 hopes to become the second triple world champion in the history of Nicaragua.
