ALBERT PAGARA, MAGSAYO SPAR WITH MEXICAN OLYMPIANS
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Wed, 30 Sep 2015

IBF Intercontinental super bantamweight champion Prince Albert Pagara and IBF Youth featherweight champion Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo have looked good in sparring with Mexican Olympians at the Wild Card Gym of Freddie Roach.
WBO No. 2 ranked light welterweight Jason Pagara also had a solid workout against undefeated Maurice ?Mighty Mo? Hooker, the 26 year old with an impressive record of 18-0-2 with 14 knockouts.
Hooker had beaten Pagara?s October 17 opponent Santos Benavides, scoring a 3rd round TKO last March 6 before he won the WBO-North American Boxing Organization super lightweight title with a 6th round TKO over previously undefeated Eduardo Galindo on June 6, 2015.
Trainer Edito ?Ala? Villamor told the New Standard that yesterday all three ALA fighters did four rounds on the mitts, then worked on the heavy bag and the speed ball before leaving for a session with strength and conditioning coach Nick Curson.
Villamor said ?the sparring was great and it was a good workout for our boxers? even as he said that Prince Albert Pagara faces a ?stiff test? against Nicaraguan southpaw William ?Chirizo? Gonzalez who has 23 knockouts in 27 wins with 5 defeats.
Gonzalez is coming off a sensational 7th round knockout of heavily favored Cornelius Lock to win the vacant WBA-North American Boxing Association title on May 9, 2014.
Magsayo who has looked speedy and heavy-handed in his workouts will clash with Mexico?s unbeaten featherweight Yardley Suarez whose record is 13-0 with 8 knockouts.
Suarez is coming off a 9th round TKO over Juan Beltran on August 14 this year and is looking forward to making an exciting debut at the StubHub Center on October 17.
