CARMONA vs RODRIGUEZ IN MEXICO CITY 'CIVIL WAR' OCTOBER 16

Mexico City, Mexico: Boxeo Telemundo Ford and All Star Boxing, Inc fall series will have its second installment Friday, October 16, 2015, at their new home the Blackberry Auditorium in Mexico City, Mexico.

In the main event another ?Civil War? when WBO #2 contender and Latin Champion David ?Severo? Carmona (19-2-5-8 KO?s) of Mexico City, Mexico gives the rematch to WBO #9 contender and interim Latin Champion Ricardo ?Meserito? Rodriguez (12-2-4 KO?s) also from Mexico City in a bout schedule for 10 Rounds for the absolute WBO Latin Superflyweight Title. The winner of this fight should be in line to face the winner of the WBO Title fight between Champion Naoya Inoue and Warlito Parrenas who fight December 29 in Tokyo.

Carmona, 24, won the first encounter over ?Meserito? last July 25, 2014, by close decision in a very competitive fight, he went on to beat Martin Casilla and world rated contender Daniel Lozano by decision and in his last fight last July 4 had to settle for a draw against top rated Warlito Parrenas in a fight for the WBO interim title. Rodriguez, 26, lives and trains in Los Angeles, California, after the defeat to Carmona went on a 3 fight winning streak defeating puertoricans Jonathan ?Pitbull? Vidal by TKO in 7 and Edwin ?Puto? Rodriguez by decision and in his last fight had a win over Daniel Lozano by decision to claim the interim Latin WBO title.

?Both of these boxers fought regularly on our series, their first fight was a great one and we expect more fireworks in the rematch, Carmona is hungry for his second world title shot and Rodriguez wants to prove he has more experience this time around and wants to earn the shot? said Zabala.
