WSOF 23, RFA 30, M-1 Challenge 61 and Enfusion 31 Live this Weekend on Fight Network

PhilBoxing.com

TORONTO (Sept. 18, 2015) - Fight Network, the world's premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, presents an action-packed weekend of live combat sports, beginning tonight, Friday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. with World Series of Fighting 23: Gaethje vs. Palomino 2 from Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Ariz. Then, just three hours later at 1 a.m. ET, catch a short tape-delayed presentation of RFA 30: Smith vs. Jardine from Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The live action continues from Malaga, Spain on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. ET with the 31st installment of live kickboxing presented by Enfusion. Finally, on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. ET, M-1 Challenge 61: Battle of Narts 2 invades Ingushetia, Russia.

Fight Network's broadcasts of WSOF 23: Gaethje vs. Palomino 2 and RFA 30: Smith vs. Jardine will air nationwide in Canada and globally in over 30 countries across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. The domestic U.S. broadcasts will be televised on NBC Sports Network and AXS TV, respectively.

Meanwhile, Enfusion Live 31 will air in Canada and across the U.S. on Cablevision's Optimum TV, Suddenlink Communications, Grande Communications, Shentel Cable and Armstrong Cable. M-1 Challenge 61 will be presented live in all territories.

In the main event of WSOF 23, undefeated, reigning WSOF lightweight champion Justin "The Highlight" Gaethje (14-0) will collide for the second time with hard-hitting rival Luis "Baboon" Palomino (23-10). The first matchup, which headlined WSOF 19, was a barnburner affair that Gaethje won via third-round TKO, and that has already been touted as a "Fight of the Year" candidate. In the co-main event and inaugural WSOF light heavyweight championship bout, David Branch (16-3), the promotion's reigning middleweight champion, will attempt to become the first two-division kingpin in WSOF history when he faces off with Cinderella story Teddy Holder (9-1), whose nine career wins have all come by stoppage. Rounding out the card, rising star and costumed crime fighter Phoenix Jones (5-1-1) looks to return to the win column against boxer-turned-MMA upstart Roberto Yong (2-2), ferocious rising star Timur "Lucky" Valiev (9-1) battles seasoned puncher Tito Jones (11-7) and dangerous finisher Brian Foster (22-7) tackles undefeated LaRue Burley (6-0).

The main event of RFA 30 sees Nebraska's own Anthony "Lionheart" Smith (22-11) tangle with fellow surging middleweight Brock Jardine (12-5), while Ryan "Are You Ready" Roberts (21-10-1) locks horns with Adam "Prime Time" Townsend (13-3), Darrick Minner (13-4) makes his fifth RFA appearance against Matt Brown (10-4), former RFA lightweight title challenger Zach Juusola (10-3) meets Robert Rojas (9-4) and undefeated welterweight Chance Rencountre (7-0) puts his perfect record on the line against fellow unbeaten prospect James Nakashima (3-0).

At Enfusion Live 31, the -72.5 kg world championship is on the line when Spaniard Fran Palenzuela battles Turkey's Tayfun Ozcan, plus British banger Victoria Lomax takes on Spain's Estela Garcia in a -57 kg bout, Spain's Ruben Lee meets Portugal's Gil Silva in a -80 kg matchup, plus a one-night, single-elimination -70 kg tournament with Spain's Adam Martins facing France's Philippe Salmon and Colombia's Christopher Mena clashing with Thai veteran Beau Superpro Samui in semifinal pairings.

M-1 Challenge 61: Battle of Narts 2 features Marcin Tybura (12-1) defending his M-1 Challenge heavyweight title against Ante "The Walking Trouble" Delija (14-2). In other action, former M-1 middleweight champion Magomed "The White Wolf" Sultanakhmedov (18-5) will look to return from a four-and-a-half-year hiatus to fight Brazilian veteran Carlos Pereira (36-10-1), Lithuanian star Sergej Grecicho (21-6) takes on undefeated Russian prospect Magomed Idrisov (5-0), Lom-Ali Nalgiev (3-3) meets Aleksandr Panasyuk (9-1) in a lightweight bout and Alexei Nevzorov (9-1) battles Antun Racic (17-6) in a featherweight tilt.
