VILORIA SAYS HE ALWAYS WANTED A REMATCH WITH WBO/WBA CHAMPION ESTRADA

PhilBoxing.com

Former two division world champion Brian Viloria is looking forward to a rematch with Juan Francisco Estrada, the talented Mexican who captured Viloria?s WBO and WBA flyweight titles via a twelve round split decision in Macau on April 6, 2013 but wishes to first take care of business against Mexican journeyman Danny Flores.

Viloria clashes with the 25 year old Flores who has a record of 14-7-1 with 8 knockouts at the Florentine Gardens in Hollywood, California on July 25 in what is considered a ?stay busy? fight for Viloria who has won three fights in a row since his loss to Estrada in a fight where Viloria out-boxed the Mexican in the first five rounds but then made the mistake of trying to slug it out with Estrada and dropped a close split decision.

Viloria told the New Standard/boxingmorror.com that he?s been ?training hard at the Wild Card Gym under boxer/trainer ?Speedy? Gonzalez? until his regular trainer and Freddie Roach?s assistant Marvin Somodio returns to LA from the Philippines where he is getting his wife?s papers fixed so she could return with him to Los Angeles.

Viloria training has been ?very good and I feel great but I can?t look past this fight against Flores.?

He said the plan as announced by Top Rank promoter Bob Arum was for a rematch with Estrada and ?that?s great because I always wanteda rematch.?

The 34 year old Viloria has a record of 35-4 with21 knockouts and still believes he has it in him to become a world champion once again.

Flores lost by an 8th round knockout in an eight round bout against Ivan Morales last May 16 and also dropped a twelve round split decision to David Carmona in a clash for the vacant WBO Youth title on May 18, 2013.

Carmona is the same fighter who salvaged a controversial draw against WBO Oriental super flyweight champion Warlito Parrenas in an Interim title fight in Mexico last July 4.
