HERO TITO: JACK ASIS ISN'T THE ONLY CINDARELLA MAN IN BOXING

Hero Tito out to prove he's boxing's real fairytale story.

IBO SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION JACK ASIS has been hailed one of boxing's fairytale stories and a cindarella man but his upcoming opponent - Indonesia's Hero Tito has a simple message.

"I to am a cindarella man," Tito said.

"I have read all about the Jack Asis story and how he's climbed from poverty to the top of the boxing world.

"I'm here to tell you I'm just like Jack Asis - but my fairy tale ending hasn't happened yet.

"But it will on June 27 when I travel to Toowoomba to fight Jack.

"I have also risen from humble beginnings to now trying to make a name for myself in the World of boxing.

"This bout represents my chance to keep my cindarella story alive.

"Who is the most dangerous type of man to fight? A desperate man, a hungry man, a determined man - I am all of those things.

"I 100% believe I can and will win this fight." Tito said.

Besides Hero Tito's claims of been on a fairytale journey - he also has the credentials of a World class fighter.

He is coming off a tough ten rounder in China on February 22 - the same card that featured Toowoomba duo Josh Baillie and Steven Spark.

"Hero impressed me on that night," Steven Spark said.

"That night he fought a ten rounder against one of China's rising prospects for the WBC Eurasia Pacific Boxing Council featherweight title and the WBA Asian Boxing Council feather weight title.

"Hero lost the fight by a points decision but he was more than competitive in the fight and at times looked as though he would score a knock out.

"Jack has to perform to his best to win this one.

"Hero is very very fit and he has knock out power so we need to be very switched on for this one."

Tito also lost a split decision in Macau against the undefeated Ik Yang who is 13-0 and defeated Roy Mukhlis who was 26-2 before their bout.

In just his ninth bout he beat Eddy Comaro by decision over twelve rounds to win the Indonesian Super Featherweight title.

Toowoomba fans would remember Eddy from his bouts in Toowoomba against former two time World champion Michael Katsidis .

In many ways Hero Tito has everything to gain in this bout and nothing to lose. A win over a current World champion will catapult his career great lengths but it will also make the tough Indonesian a hero in his home country.

Jack Asis.

"Opportunities like this don't come around very often, Hero Tito said.

"I will make the most of it.

"I know my skills are good enough beat anyone in the World, I just need an opportunity.

"Jack Asis is respected all over the World, if I can beat him I know it will lead to a title shot.

"This fight means everything to me.

"I respect Jack Asis, but I'm coming to beat him on June 27."

Jack Asis has openly declared this is the most important fight of his career.

"This one means so much," Asis said.

"This one is to honour my mate Brayd and to show my hometown of Toowoomba my World title belt.

"I know Hero is a god fighter.

"I have no more comments about my opponent, I'll just try my best.

"Showtime is coming, June 27." Asis said.
