LAILA ALI PICKS MAYWEATHER TO WIN OVER PACQUIAO
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Wed, 11 Mar 2015

Undefeated female super middleweight champion Laila ?She Bee Stingin? Ali, the statuesque daughter of former heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali, has picked undefeated pound for pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr to beat eight division champion Manny Pacquiao when they clash on May 2 in Las Vegas.
Laila who ended her career with a record of 24-0 with 21 knockouts said she expects Mayweather to win because of his superior boxing skills as she explained, ?I?ll probably go with Mayweather because he is a skilled fighter. He is a superior talent? though she conceded ?Pacquiao is a great fighter but I always go with skills over just being a brawler like Pacquiao.?
One of Leila Ali?s most memorable fights was against the daughter of ?Smokin Joe? Frazier, Jacqui Frazier-Lyde whom she beat in a close majority decision over eight rounds on June 8, 2001.
It was the first main event pay per view fight between female boxers.
In her last fight which was a rematch against Gwendolyn O? Neil, on February, 2007 Laila won by a 1st round TKO.
Well known international promoter and matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz who claims he had predicted a loss of Pacquiao to Timothy ?Desert Storm? Bradley by a split decision in their first fight and that Pacquiao would be knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez in their fourth meeting in which Pacquiao suffered a crushing 6th round knockout, said that Pacquiao would lose by a twelve round split decision to Mayweather on May 2.
