BASADRE KNOCKS OUT JOR CHAIJINDA, CAPTURES WBC YOUTH WORLD TITLE TODAY IN JAPAN
By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Sun, 30 Nov 2014

In a superb performance, hard-swinging Filipino Daryl "Flash" Basadre (14-1-1, 10 KO's) of General Santos City scored a technical knocked out over the previously undefeated Yodsingdaeng Jor Chaijinda of Thailand to capture the vacant WBC Bantamweight Youth World Title tonight (November 30) at Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Japan.
With better skills and speed and power, the 22-year old Basadre dominated Jor Chaijinda, sending the brave Thai three times to the deck before stopping him in the 8th round earn the WBC Youth belt.
The victory is the second title earned by Basadre in 2014. Last March, he also claimed the World Boxing Federation (WBF) International 115-Lbs strap, a victory he achieved by overpowering Julius Alcos in two rounds at Lagao Gym in Gensan.
Boxing manager Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions assisted Basadre in his victory in Kanazawa, Japan, and could not be more proud of his pupil as more challenges line up for the promising young fighter born in Cagayan de Oro.
"Daryl (Basadre) was in great shape for this fight here in Japan as he trained really hard at the Sanman Gym in Gensan and this is the result. Daryl overpowered his opponent, did a really great work tonight," shared the experienced Manangquil.
In another Pinoy knock out victory tonight in Kanazawa, Japan, undefeated 20-year-old Cebu-resident Neil John Tabanao (10-0, 7 KO's) of the Noy Pacing Boxing Academy scored a crushing round 1 knock out over unheralded boxer Tienchai Sor Kanitsorn of Thailand. The clash was a non-title rumble in the 126-lbs division.
Tonight's card in Kanazawa was a production of Japanese promoter Naoyuki Kashimi, director of Kashimi Boxing Gym.
