Former professional boxer now turned trainer Craig ?The Mongrel? Monagle says his fighters are ready to explode on October 19. Monagle, who was renowned for his toughness and body shots, has continued his involvement in the sport he loves by becoming a trainer and founding his gym ?Trading Blows?.
He will have two fighters step in to the ring on the October 19 card ?Smithy brings the big fights 2? at Rumours international. They are Kris George, who will be making his professional debut and one of the toughest men in Australian boxing Kyle ?The Tank? Teer.
Teer, was the victor over Monagle?s first professional fighter ?Iron? Will Young in Toowoomba in March. However after Young made the move to Smithy?s Gym, Teer seized the opportunity and made the move to train under Monagle.
Kyle Teer, who won round of the year on fox sports in 2011, will take on Jezze Carrasco on October 19 in what is expected to be an exciting fight.
Chris George, who was an Australian Champion as an amateur, will make his pro debut on the night, taking on Luke Howlett. These two are well versed in each others styles, with Howlett holding a victory of George in the amateur ranks.
