Three-time world boxing champion Kenia “Mexican Queen” Enriquez (28-1, 11KO) is officially returning to the boxing ring after a hiatus of over two and a half years. Her first fight back will be in her hometown of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, on Saturday, August 29th, under the banner of her new boxing promoter Osvaldo Kuchle's Latin KO, and broadcast live in Mexico on the Televisa network and in the United States on TUDN.
Enriquez will make her return to professional boxing following a successful transition into mixed martial arts, where she maintains an undefeated 3-0 record under the Combate Global banner. The decorated fighter returns with the goal of competing at the highest level, pursuing major fights and continuing her mission of capturing yet another world title at 112 pounds.
Enriquez captured multiple world championships and earned recognition for her technical skill, speed, discipline and relentless determination. She became a WBC interim flyweight champion after defeating Ibeth Zamora in 2023 and successfully defended her title in 2024 against María Salinas. In 2017, Enriquez, 32, won the interim WBC light flyweight title by stopping Salinas and in 2014 she won her first world title, the WBO 112-pound strap, with a unanimous decision over veteran Ana Arrazola.
“I’m excited to return to the sport that helped define my career,” said Enriquez. “I have more goals to accomplish, more challenges to face, and I’m ready to prove once again why I belong among the best in boxing.”
