JAYSON ROTONI LOSES IN PABA TITLE FIGHT

Jayson Rotoni has failed in his bid to win the Pan Asian Boxing Association light flyweight title losing by a 10th round technical decision to Nethra Sasiprapa of Thailand in a Kokiet Group promotion in Pattalung, Thailand.

An accidental clash of heads forced referee Wanchai Pongsri to call a halt and to go to the scorecards of the three judges who all scored the fight for Sasiprapa.

Worasak Pakdeekam scored it 98-92, Chaerm Prayadsab 97-94 and KiHo Park 97-93.

Sasiprapa had won the interim title with a 4th round knockout over Ricky Manufoe of Indonesia on October 8, 2010 and followed up with a 1st round TKO of Michael Escobia of the Philippines on October 9, 2010.

With the win the 28 year old Thai improved his record to 24-1 with 11 knockouts.

The 24 year old Rotoni was coming off a 3rd round knockout of Ariel Cardoza and dropping a twelve round unanimous decision to Tommy Seran of Indonesia in an interin WBO Asia Pacific light flyweight title bout.

With the loss Rotoni dropped to 12-8-1, with 7 knockouts according to boxrec.com.
