ERSON Trinidad of Puerto Princesa City will fight Takero Kitano of Japan for the vacant OPBF minimumweight title on August 19, Wednesday at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
The 28-year-old Trinidad [10-5-1, 6KOs] recently stopped Silem Serano in the 8th round last May 17 to win the vacant OPBF Silver super flyweight title in Tibubeneng.
Kitano [10-1-1, 4KOs], on the other hand, recently scored a split decision win over Kurt John Pabular of Bansalan last April 13 in Tokyo.
Meanwhile, super lightweight Reymond “Robocop” Yanong [19-11-1, 13KOs] of Escalante City will face Sora Tanaka [5-1-0, 5KOs] of Japan in the supporting bout.
There will also be three championships.
Shu Utsuki of Saitama will defend his WBO Asia Pacific lightweight title against undefeated Reito Takahashi of Chiba.
Kyotaro Yoshida [8-4-0, 4KOs] of Japan will take his OPBF super flyweight title against Ryang Ho Han [5-1-0, 3KOs] of South Korea.
Hijiri Oka [3-0-0, 2KOs] will take on Keita Nakayama [4-0-0, 4KOs] for the vacant OPBF bantamweight title.
Hideyuki Ohashi of Ohashi Promotions is the promoter.
