CAIZ JR IS THIRD MAN FOR BANAL VS CONCEPCION!

CEBU CITY--The very well-credentialed Raul Caiz Jr of California, USA has been chosen by the WBA to be the third man when undefeated ALA Boy AJ 'Bazooka' Banal takes on Panama's Rafael Concepcion for the regular WBA superflyweight title on July 26 here.

The event will be graced by no less than WBA executive director Gilberto Jesus Mendoza, who will take on former five-division Philippine champion Ernie Alesna in a three-round exhibition bout.

Caiz Jr. was also the third man when Oscar De la Hoya battled Steve Forbes last May, as well as the Fernando Montiel-Luis Maldonado tiff, Chris John-Roinet Caballero showdown. He had also refereed the bouts of Roy Jones Jr, Bernard Hopkins, the legendary Julio Cesar Chavez, and even Michael Carbajal and Rafael Marquez.

Caiz Jr is familiar with the Cebuano fans, having worked the Donnie Nietes-Pornsawan Kratingdaenggym WBO battle last year at the Waterfront Hotel.

Should the fight go the distance, tasked to pen the bout are judges Philippe Verbeke (Belgium), Francisco Martinez (New Zealand) and Chalerm Prayadsab (Thailand).

Supervisor for the bout will be the highly-respected Yang Sup Shim of Korea, who heads the PABA, WBA's regional arm in Asia.
