THE gunstart of DC2DC [Davao City to Digos City] Ultramarathon 60-kilometer will be at 9 pm on September 5 at Magsaysay Park in Davao.
The assembly time for runners is 6 pm while the race briefing is at 8 pm.
“The wait is almost over! Get ready to conquer the road from Davao City to Digos City!” said race director Jay “Jj” Abesamis.
A total of 1,500 long distance runners will see action.
It will be finished at 9 am on September 6, Sunday at the Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School in Digos City.
“It’s a 12-hour cutoff time, 60 kilometers and one epic journey,” said Abesamis.
Among the teams are Team Davao Striders, Santa Cruz Trail Runners, Kiblawan Running Club, Team Brad, Snail Pacers and Alpha Phi Omega [APO].
“The road from DC2DC is not conquered alone it is made stronger by the teams that run together, support one another, and keep the spirit of camaraderie alive,” said Abesamis.
The DC2DC, now on its 11th edition, is organized by Team Kapwa Davao.
“Every kilometer will test your endurance, discipline, and determination,” said Abesamis.
Roland Laniog is president of Team Kapwa while the technical director is Rod Lanorias.
