Bangkok, Thailand---Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr. ruled via tie break the 100th Saturday Evening Casual Blitz Chess Tournament at the Red Knight Chess Cafe in Bambini Villa, Sukhumvit in Bangkok, Thailand Saturday night, August 1,2026.
Bernardino, a certified online Arena Grandmaster, tied for first-second places with countryman Louie Salvador 6.0 points apiece in the blitz 3 minutes plus 2 seconds increment time control event organized by Red Knight Chess Cafe. With the highest tie break points , Bernardino took the title, while Salvador finished second.
"I am really happy for this win and I would like to thank everyone for their support," said Bernardino, who is also a Flipino and United States chess master scheduled to celebrate his 49th birthday on August 5.
