John Lee Antonio scored 47 points for IIEE Chessmasters in the Bundesliga level 1 tournament on July 31, 2026. Though the 496 points team score of IIEE is not enough to maintain the team in level 1, the team score added for the accumulated points of level 1 for the year. To-date, the team is now 9th overall surpassing Chessmaste & Friends, Crestbook Chess Club and ALL STARSS CHESS WGYL.
The target for the team is to rank 8th overall in the World (IIEE was 6th last 2025) so that players who had accumulated score of 800+ will get special incentive. The new addition for the 800-clubber is Engr. Michael Angelo Palma, the 9th member of this elite circle led by FM Rico Salimbagat with a total of 1108 points. Current overall number 1 of IIEE remains to be Mark Del Rosario with a total of 26 times being top 8 scorer for the team.
Supporting John Lee Antonio for this latest tournament are Ricardo Jimenez and Del Rosario (40 each), AGM Rauf Nasroden (38), Randy Turreda (3), Bren Sasot and Michael Angelo Palma with 36 each and tied at 8th place are Jemuel Calo and AGM Joseph Galindo with 35 a-piece. (Marlon Bernardino)
