CONDES NEARING 150-RD MARK FOR RACHMAN CHALLENGE!

Heavy-handed Florante Condes of the Aljoe Jaro Stable is expected to reach 150 rounds of sparring as he prepares to challenge IBF minimumweight champ Muhammad Rachman in this oft-postponed card on July 7 in Jakarta.

Condes' manager Aljoe Jaro, however, downplayed chances of his ward getting overtrained for the fight, citing that they did only light training last week when another postponement had to be done after Indonesian promoter Albert 'Mr Tom' Papilaya had reneged on his financial obligations for the fight.

As of now, the promotional obligations have been taken by Ndondo Sugiarto in partnership with Tourino Tidar, after Papilaya reportedly could not be found. The news promoters then petitioned the IBF to move the fight from its original schedule of June 16 to a new date on July 7 still in Jakarta.

The Indonesian press has already christened Papilaya as 'Mr Tom' owing to his penchant to make promises and saying that things will be ironed out tomorrow.

Jaro said that Team Condes will be flying to Jakarta on July 2.

"Nagkasundo na kami ni Florante na knockoutin na namin para matapos na ang gulo," (We have agreed with Florante to knock out Rachman so we can finally get over this), said Jaro.
