MILWAUKEE -- Kendall Marshall and his fellow reserves exploded for 60 points on Friday night and the Milwaukee Bucks pummeled the Miami Heat, 109-85, at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Marshall, who got the nod at point guard after starter Brandon Knight ran into foul trouble, finished with 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting including four triples. Khris Middleton chipped in 14 and Jerryd Bayless added 12. Jared Dudley tallied eight.
"We played well. We have to find a way to do that for 48 minutes consistently. That's what great teams do in this league and that's what we're striving for," said the 23-year old Marshall, a 6-foot-4 guard who played for the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
The Bucks led only by one --- 58-57 -- at the 7:35 mark of the third quarter. But a furious 43-25 run quickly put the game away as Milwaukee soared to a 101-82 bulge with just 2:56 left in the final period.
Starters Jabari Parker and Giannis Antetokounmpo finished with 14 and 13 points respectively for the Bucks, who snapped a three-game slide to improve to 11-10 and sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
Dwayne Wade topped Miami with 28 points and Chris Bosh had 21. Mario Chalmers accounted for nine points and six assists.
The Heat made only 30 of 68 field goals (44.1 percent) and 7 of 18 from 3-point range (38.9 percent). Miami, which lost its third straight, played without injured players Luol Deng, Norris Cole and Chris "Birdman" Anderson.
