TWO ACTION PACKED TITLE FIGHTS ON ?THE MAIN EVENT? ON PBO OVER SKY CABLE, SATURDAY By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sat, 18 Oct 2014 Diale. Two action packed bouts will be featured on this week?s edition of Viva Sports top-rated boxing show ?The Main Event? on Pinoy Box Office (PBO) over Sky Cable at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with a replay at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. In the featured bout on the card presented by promoters Edgar ?Mark? De Castro of United Boxing Gym based in Malate, Manila and Ryuta Kato of the United International Boxing Gym of Japan with Taal Mayor Michael Montenegro as host, promising, undefeated 20 year old Renerio Arizala of the Arci Boxing Stable in Mandaluyong City gave veteran flyweight champion Ardin Diale the fight of his life before the power of Diale got the better of the youngster. The title fight started in stunning fashion as Arizala dropped Diale early in the opening round during a furious exchange on the ropes when he nailed the veteran with a perfect counter-punch to the solar plexus. The undefeated Arizala (11-0-1, 4 KO?s) rocked Diale again in round three but the hard-hitting Philippine flyweight champion came back to drop Arizala later in the round before battering the youngster in round four. Arizala?s trainer Jonathan Penalosa, an outstanding boxer in his prime and brother of former two- division world champions Gerry and Dodie Boy Penalosa jumped into the ring to embrace Arizala and prevent him from absorbing any further punishment. In an emotional ending Arizala cried on Penalosa?s shoulder because he felt he could continue but Penalosa?s better judgment prevailed so the talented young fighter could live to fight another day. It was a correct decision that underscored the need to protect a young fighter. Another promising youngster 23 year old Rene Dacquel who was held to a split draw by Japan?s Ryotaro Kawabata in a clash for the WBC Youth world super flyweight championship last July 21 in Okayama, Japan made no mistake this time against 20 year old Menard Abila in an entertaining bout which ended in an 8th round TKO in which Dacquel captured the vacant title. The huge crowd at the Barangay Pook covered court in the historic town of Taal, Batangas enjoyed an excellent night of boxing as evidenced by the fact that not one fight fan left until the last fight was over.
