PUMICPIC VS OLISA HEADLINES 'THE MAIN EVENT' ON PINOY BOX OFFICE OVER SKY CABLE ON SATURDAY
By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Sat, 13 Sep 2014

An interesting eight round featherweight battle between Richard ?The Beast? Pumicpic of the Alliance Boxing Club in Pasay City and veteran Rex Olisa of the Cucoy Elorde Boxing Gym in Mandaluyong City will highlight Viva Sports ?The Main Event? to be telecast on Pinoy Box Office (PBO) over SkyCable on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. with a replay on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
In a curtain raiser held at the Mandaluyong City Gym, bantamweight Julius Bala from the Wild Card Gym of the late Rod Nazario, business manager of Manny Pacquiao which has been renamed ?In This Corner? gym takes on Ruben Dingcong of the Tiger City Boxing Gym in Mandaluyong City in a four round bout.
Bala, a tough little fighter with a record 2 wins and 2 losses was favored to overcome the lanky Dingcong who has 2 losses and 1 draw to his name.
In the main event Pumicpic who has a record of 14-6-2 with 4 knockouts will face off against the veteran Rex Olisa whose record of 10 wins against 24 losses with 1 draw and 8 knockouts doesn?t fairly reflect Olisa?s potential.
In his last fight on May 29, Olisa gave rugged Daniel Ferreras a tough time before dropping a ten round decision while Pumicpic lost by a twelve round unanimous decision in an Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation title fight against Japan?s Ryosuke Iwasa in Tokyo last March 25.
