ALA-COBRA ?TUNAY NA LAKAS? BOXING IN TAGBILARAN JULY 26

TAGBILARAN CITY,BOHOL- Jimmy ?Popeye? Paypa of Lanao del Sur will be pitted against Gadwin Tubigon of Dipolog City this Saturday in a ten round non-title contest at the Island City Mall. This fight card is offered free to the public and is part of the continuing partnership of ALA Promotions and Cobra Energy Drink.
Paypa (15W-2L-1D,5KO?s), who has not lost since 2010, is coming off a technical draw in Japan against Tsuyoshi Tameda. Tubigon (10-9-2,5KO?s) will try to bounce back from his TKO loss due to a split upper lip last May in Cebu City against Harmonito dela Torre in a WBF International title bout.
Paypa weighed in at 125 lbs while Tubigon was at 124.5 lbs during the official weigh-in held Friday at the Island City Mall activity center.
The co-main feature is another ten rounder between Juren ?Turbo? Labordo of Bacolod City and Fernando ?Batang Bato? Ocon of Cebu. Labordo (12-1, 8KOs) weighed in at 116 lbs while Ocon (12-7,4KO?s) took time to shed a pound before making the contracted weight of 116lbs.
A special treat for Boholano fight fans will be the six round fight between undefeated blue chip prospect Mark ?Magnifico? Magsayo of Tagbilaran and Tata Fontanilla (11-5-1,5KO?s) of Gensan.
Magsayo (6-0,4KO?s) has been a special feature on the undercards of the PINOY PRIDE series. He will be fighting for the first time as a professional in his native Bohol. Magsayo weighed 128 lbs while Fontanilla was at 123.5lbs.
Also set to see action are Peter Apolinar (123.5lbs) who will be taking Jamjam Ungon (124) in a 4-round clash, Vic Casido (122.25lbs) vs. Albert Muring (120.5lbs) of Bohol - 4 rounds, James Paul Talaman (128lbs) vs Jovane Abejero (126lbs) of Bohol ? 4 rounds and Ryan Canillas (107.75lbs) vs Rafael Sueno (107.5lbs). The weigh-in was supervised by Rolando Mendoza of GAB ? Cebu.
