DELA TORRE VS. SOUTH AFRICA?S MCOTHELI IN WBF TITLE FIGHT

Unbeaten prospect Harmonito dela Torre (13W-0L,8KO?s) will battle Xolani Mcotheli of South Africa (9W- 1L 8KO?s) for the WBF superfeatherweight world title on September 13 at the Lagao gymnasium in General Santos City. Jim Claude Manangquil of Sanman Promotions informed philboxing of this match.
The 20 year old Dela Torre, who hails from Gen.Santos City, is coming off a third round TKO win over Gadwin Tubigon for the WBF International belt last May at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel. Mcotheli suffered his lone loss on points to Jasper Seroka in a fight for the South African superfeathweight title.
Dela Torre has also fought twice in Macau, winning by knockout against Indonesian boxers Yakobus Heluka and Jason Butar Butar.
Penned to see action on the undercard are Daryl Basadre vs Kaenpetch Sitmuangtan of Thailand for the WBC Asia bantamweight title, Danny McDermott of New Jersey,U.S.A vs tba for the WBU world and WBC asia welterweight title, Archak Ter-meleksetiab of New York will face Dondon Sultan for the WBF light middleweight Asia Pacific title.
