NBA Summer League -- Bulls maul Wolves, 107-73

LAS VEGAS -- The Chicago Bulls drubbed the Minnesota Timberwolves, 107-73, and improved to 3-0 in the continuation of the 2014 Samsung Summer League at the Thomas and Mack Center.
Rookie Doug McDermott finished with 20 points, five rebounds and six assists while shooting 7-of-13 from the field. David Wear added 15 while second year Bull Tony Snell registered 12.
After leading only by six -- 49-43 -- at halftime, the Bulls broke the game wide open with a 32-16 third quarter run.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, who dropped to 0-3 in tournament play, got 13 points from Kyrylo Fesenko while Zach LaVine, the prized guard from UCLA, registered 12.
The Wolves made only 28 of 70 field goals (40 percent) and missed 10 of their 22 free throws. Minnesota was also hounded by 20 turnovers.
BLAZERS 91, HAWKS 76
Over at the Cox Pavilion, the Portland Trail Blazers improved to 2-1 by beating the winless Atlanta Hawks (0-3), 91-76.
C.J. McCollom exploded with 26 points for the Blazers while Will Barton added 17 as Portland sank 33 of 67 field goals for a high 49.3 percent.
Dennis Schroder paced the Hawks with 16 while Adreian Payne and Mike Muscala pitched in 13 apiece.
